I started working on my Etsy site mid March, so mid April is my one month milestone for measuring statistics. But I’ve already completed my first comparison using all of February and March and here’s what I found:
These are sizeable changes for just two weeks of increased activity. I’ve almost trebled my visits. It didn’t result in any sales, but I did get inquiries that may result in sales in April.
The one thing I have noticed by increasing my Etsy marketing is that people are leaving my Facebook business page. In this two weeks I have lost four followers. I suspect people are sick of seeing the adverts. And I don’t blame them. But Etsy gurus will tell you that you need to post at least twice a day to increase traffic loads.
Despite this, here’s a comparison of where people found me in February and March. My Etsy traffic is down, but those finding me via social media is up. Posting on Instagram has had no effect which is no surprise considering its usage so I’m going to pull back on that for a bit. But Facebook and Twitter seem to be generating traffic.
Yes, these are very small numbers, I don’t dispute that, but it has to start somewhere. I’ll post again in two weeks with the full month and then we’ll see how things are shaping up.
