The day I worked with Rei Bennett and Evie Wolfe

It’s always good to meet and work with people who are equally as workaholic and passionate about what they do as you are. It reminds you that you are not the only one out there that cares THAT much or gets off on creating a thing of visual beauty. Get them all into a studio together and you’re guaranteed to get amazing results.

And that’s exactly what happened when Rei Bennett Photography, Evie Wolfe and Falcieri Designs (yes that’s me) got together in Derby this morning to crash out some promotional work for the Alter Me Up runway show in Birmingham at the end of March next year.

In just 4 hours, we created a number of styles, captured beautifully on film, focusing variously on full concept outfits, accessories including pieces by the fabulous Gothic Diva Designs, some pretty amazing wigs including one by DBX Hair and millinery creations by my good self. The key to getting this many looks from one shoot is the skill and enthusiasm of the team to just keep on going.

Rei Bennett is an extremely competent photographer who I’d previously met at the Artifex Studios opening in November but never yet had the privilege to work with. Rei knows exactly what she wants and has a very keen eye for composition. She has worked with Evie on a number of occasions and the relaxed yet professional attitude really shows in the end results.

Evie is a highly experienced professional model. Confident in everything she does, she expects the best from her work and sets herself very high standards. But even she was amazed at the rushes we glimpsed on the day! Although I have provided Evie with clothing and millinery pieces before, this is the first time we’ve been in the studio together for a shoot so it was a great opportunity to see her at work.

I think you’ll agree the results are unique, beautiful, creative and certainly make a statement! I can’t wait to work with these guys again. An absolute joy and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

These are just a few teasers. More to follow. Enjoy!
