On Friday 11th May 2012 Lincoln based online fashion retailer Sleeves Boutique in association with Falcieri Designs (that’s me) will be staging a catwalk show of their design labels. The venue will be Cafe Portico at The Terrace, Grantham Street, LN2 1BD in central Lincoln.
Sleeves Boutique stocks a fabulous range of dresses, tops and dress-tops with sleeves from independent designers recognised by the Ethical Fashion Forum. Currently they feature the following labels: Ciel (celebrity favoured ecophilosophy label), Nancy Dee (retro inspired minis and maxis), Kind Hearts (pointelle knits), Nomads, EKO, and Braintree. Labels who will be joining the range in 2012 include Hajra and Falcieri Designs.
Falcieri Designs is a new and innovative Lincoln based fashion design label who, as well as showcasing as a new addition to the Sleeves Boutique range, will be jointly organising this event.
Hajra’s 15 years of dress making experience includes training in Paris as a pattern cutter and producing couture wedding dresses for Bond Street clients. Hajra now specialises in her own label producing custom made evening dresses and ballgowns.
Although this event is still in the early stages we would like to keep you informed as plans progress. If you are a design label which follows or would like to follow the Sleeves Boutique ethic and you are looking for new outlets please contact us for further information.
Additionally if you are interested in helping out with our event either in the form of sponsorship or any other suitable service please drop us a line. We are always keen to collaborate with new and local companies. If successful, we are hoping this event will become a regular calendar event showcasing new collections and inviting new labels to the catwalk. At this stage however we will essentially be relying on the enthusiasm and generosity of local talented contributors and businesses to make it happen and your assistance is gratefully received. At the moment we are looking for interested parties, there is no firm commitment as yet so enquiries are welcomed from everyone.
